Grown on our family farm in Edgar, Wisconsin, Sweet Leaf Worm Castings are straight worm castings (vermicompost) with no manure blends, no fillers and no biosolids. They add organic matter to potting mixes, beds and top-dressings and help improve soil structure.

Our castings are low in soluble salts (1.01 dS/m in our 2025 lab sample) and odor-free, which makes them easy to use indoors.

OMRI Listed (kwf-5814) for organic production. Add to potting mix, top-dress containers, or work into garden beds.

How much do I use?

Mix 1 part Sweet Leaf castings to 4 parts potting soil, or top-dress with a quarter-inch layer and water in. For existing plants, apply 1 to 2 tablespoons around the drip line monthly.

Can I use it on edibles?

Yes. Sweet Leaf castings are OMRI Listed (kwf-5814) for organic production and can be used on vegetables, herbs, fruit, and other edible plants. No synthetic additives.

Is there a smell?

No. Unlike raw manure or compost, properly processed worm castings are virtually odorless. You can use them indoors without any unpleasant smell.

How long does a bag last?

A 5 lb bag covers roughly 20 to 30 houseplant top-dressings, or makes about 10 quarts of amended potting mix at 1 part castings to 4 parts soil. Store bags sealed and cool, and use within 12 months of production.
